Dear Friends,
The American Cancer Society is committed to the well-being of cancer patients and care-givers who are central to our mission.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have decided to pivot from the "Friday Night Live" version of Night of Wine and Roses to an ON-LINE/virtual live event on July 30th. This is the only way to assure the safety of our attendees, staff, and volunteers.
The ACS is expecting a serious financial shortfall this year. This will threaten the extraordinary progress which we have made, and which reduced deaths from cancer by 30% since 1991. We must protect the interests of our patients and researchers.
We need your support to attack cancer from every angle. Cancer doesn't quit… and neither will the American Cancer Society.
Here’s our plan:
- Online Auction– Will open on July 23rd and close following the program on July 30th. It will feature a wide array of exciting options ranging in value.Be sure to keep an eye out for our emails
- Night of Wine & Roses @ Home – Will stream on Thursday, July 30th in the evening. Join us as we honor Jack Aaronson, Dr. Gopal Rao Desai, and Amy Mansue. More details on how to tune in coming soon.
- Tribute Journal – Will be on our website and available as a downloadable pdf format.
- Mission Giving – Donors will be able to give virtually to our life-saving mission
Your support this year is more precious than ever. You are the foundation which sources the care, preventive strategies, and scientific discoveries which are eliminating cancer.
We are living in an historic time, and with your support to #ContinueTheMission we can condemn cancer to its place in history as well.
We look forward to greeting you in a few weeks.
Sincerely yours,
Marlene and Michael Nissenblatt, MD
